This episode is a sequel to the TV animation series "Astro Boy," which was completed in 1966.

Three-eyed aliens from Planet Lululu, equipped with highly advanced technology, discover a suspicious piece of iron floating in space. They realize that this piece contains the body of Astro Boy, who plunged into the Sun to save Earth some time ago. The aliens then remanufacture Astro as a more advanced robot and send him back to Earth, accompanied by Supika, a girl robot made of electric artificial cells. However, due to a malfunction of the time-traveling spacecraft, Astro arrives on Earth at a different time he originally lived in.
