STORY
This manga is a sequel to Miss Soyokaze. Having moved to Tokyo, Chiyoko, known as Soyokaze-san, begins attending the same school as Hiyoko, nicknamed Himawari-san. But when she is lured into a trap set by villains and abducted, Santa, who has come to Tokyo to pursue his studies, teams up with Himawari to rescue her.

This is a girls' manga set in Japan during the postwar reconstruction period following World War II. In those days, it was not uncommon for orphaned children to search for parents from whom they had been separated during the war, or for children to fall victim to kidnappers. Soyokaze-san herself is searching for her biological mother, and her quest forms one of the story's central themes.
Lively and adventurous girls like Himawari-san, who remind readers of Sapphire from Princess Knight, were rare in Japan at the time. Yet their courage, independence, and free spirit made them the heroines that young female readers admired and aspired to become.
