STORY

One night in the 1970s. Osamu Tezuka encounters a gigantic, shaggy monster of unknown origin while attending a science fiction convention in Nagoya. Barely escaping with his life, he seeks refuge in the home of a young man named Koichi Inochi, who is actually a mysterious existence known as Thunder. Thunder battles a shape-shifting monster called Decander.

Koichi Inochi was once a young man named Koichi Iida. He had lost his health due to pollution and, having lost all hope, wandered the streets carrying a sign that read "Life for Sale." There, he met Dr. Takase, who revealed the existence of Thunder, a gaseous extraterrestrial lifeform searching for a human body to inhabit on Earth. At Dr. Takase's request, Koichi agreed to lend his body to Thunder.

Decander, Thunder's archenemy, is another gaseous alien lifeform that can possess both living creatures and inanimate objects. It relentlessly attacks Thunder and anyone who knows the secret of its existence.

Thunder shares with Tezuka information about a mysterious cosmic tablet that is said to exist on every planet. This tablet inscribes the history of the universe, including the story of the conflict between Thunder and Decander. Thunder asks Tezuka to decipher its ancient writing.

This science fiction adventure presents a unique extraterrestrial threat of highly intelligent gaseous beings.
