Rabi, the little rabbit, is always cheerful but is a terribly sissy. As usual, the mean fox was chasing Rabi. He ran and ran deep into the forest where he met a mysterious dwarf. "I will make you fly if you give me your tail" the dwarf said. So Rabi gave his tail to the dwarf in exchange for the ability to fly away from the fox. When the animals of the forest saw the rabbit flying, they rushed to the dwarf to get that power too...
This is a fantastic story filled with the many cute animals that Tezuka Osamu was so fond of. At the same time, it makes a sharp comment on the mob psychology of being tempted by a "meaningless boom". Although this book is for little children, it also communicates Tezuka Osamu's opinions to adults.
