TOMM the 50th Exhibition: Jungle Emperor – Leo’s life


The exhibition “Jungle Emperor - Leo’s life” is held at Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum from July 2 to October 25, 2010



The 50th exhibition features “Jungle Emperor”, the work created in Takarazuka city, Tezuka Osamu’s hometown as well as origin of his creativity.Untold stories behind the creation and attractions of the work are introduced through the exhibition.


The stories of Panja, Leo and Rune, the lions in three generations, are developed fully in the exhibition space. Several important scenes and episodes which become the turning points in the stories can be reviewed with large panels and Tezuka’s original manuscripts displayed. Visitors can enjoy the magnificent world of Jungle Emperor.

Period: From July 2, 2010 to October 25, 2010
Open from 9:30 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. No admission after 16:30 p.m.
Holidays: Every Wednesday (except July 21, 28 and August)
Admission fee: Adult 700 (560) yen, Junior &Senior high school students:300 (240) yen, Elementary school students 100 (80) yen.
*The amount indicated in () is applied to group of 10 or more.
