  • TOMM the 72nd Exhibition: 80’s Girly Collection “Kawaii stays beyond times”

  • The 80’s was the time various fashions and cultures appeared in Japan under good economy, and was the golden age for fancy goods for girls. Those girls who loved fancy goods are now in their forties and fifties, and their daughters are in teens and twenties. And fancy goods in 80’s catch the attention of those young girls as something new to them.


    The exhibition aims to introduce the attraction of girly fancy boom in 80’s. A variety of fancy goods selected from more than 1000 collections owned by Yukashinamon, a well known blogger for “Showa Girly Culture Research Institute are displayed, thanks to her cooperation. The exhibition also features UNICO, the representative “Girly” work by Tezuka Work.
