As one of the 20th anniversary events of the museum, Museum Talk & Live Drawing by Tezuka Osamu’s ex-assistants is held.

 

Jun Watabe and Mako Takami, both are active manga artists who used to be Tezuka’s assistants, hold Museum Talk about the days they worked with Tezuka.  They also show how to draw manga in front of the audience.

 

 

Date & Time: Jun. 14, 2014   14:00 p.m.

 

Venue: Atom Vision in Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum (1st floor)

 

Fee: Free (admission fee for the museum required)

 

Seats: 50 seats (first-come basis)

 

How to Apply: Call to Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum (0797-81-2970) on or after May 1.  (Visitors without a reservation can also participate in the talks on the day if there is any vacancy.)

Jun Watabe

 

Manga artist.  He joined Tezuka Productions in 1978 and left the company in 1980, making his debut on Young Jump published from Shueisha. His representative works include “Yokohama Love Connection” and “Lemon Angel”.

Mako Takami

 

Manga artist and part-time lecturer at Nagaoka Institute of Design. She joined Tezuka Productions in 1978 and left the company in 1981.  Her representative works include “Itoshi no Elly” and “Futari no Kimochi”.
