To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Koan Ogata, a scholar of Dutch Studies in Edo era who established a private school called Rangakujuku or Tekijyuku, the exhibition is held to introduce such private schools appearing in various novels, movies and comics.
The original masterpiece of Hidamarino-ki in which Tezuka drew Ryosen Tezuka joining Tekijuku will be also displayed. In addition, one of four lectures given during the exhibition period is planed to be held under the title: Hidamarinoki (Trees in the Sun) and the Doctor of Dutch Scholarship TEZUKA Ryosen”, The lecture is scheduled on May 15 (Sat.)
Admission fee is free. (The museum lectures are also free.)
