Tezuka Osamu, a world-famous Manga artist, delivered his last speech to children at Ikeda Elementary School as an alumnus of the school.  He tried to convey importance of love to nature and preciousness of life with enthusiasm despite being ill.
In November 2008, at the celebration of the 80 anniversary of Tezuka Osamu and the 100th anniversary of Ikeda Elementary School, we, on behalf of alumni, send the following message to all the graduates and current students of the school: “Value every life and pass this thought down the generations”.
